Fall Fun in the Classroom ๐ŸŽƒ

LINC learners experienced the fun of carving pumpkins this October in a CLB 3 class.

Teacher Amanda incorporated this Canadian cultural activity into her class this fall. Using simple English instructions, she taught learners how to carve pumpkins. Learners were also able to learn some fall/Halloweโ€™en vocabulary and take some time during class to relax and de-stress by colouring and enjoying treats. Social time in the classroom is great for learners to feel comfortable with each other and creates a fun learning environment. Fun activities like this can help learners to balance out the stresses of learning a new language in a new country. Learners really enjoyed the pumpkin carving and were able to show their jack-oโ€™-lanterns to the other classes.

Pumpkins were generously donated by Lepp Farm Market.
